Intertek Announces ISO 17025 Laboratory Accreditation by Dubai Municipality

Intertek, a global leader in quality and safety solutions for a wide range of industries, announces that the Intertek Dubai Laboratory has been awarded ISO IEC 17025 accreditation from Dubai Municipality Accreditation Department (DAC). This certification covers food and water analysis across a wide range of parameters and standards.

Intertek provides an extensive range of food safety-related services including quality and safety testing, inspections, product sampling, microbiological and physio-chemical analysis - including swab (hygiene) analysis, calibration of catering equipment, safety assessments and verifications (including to HACCP), management system certification, risk management, Halal certification, and food safety training at all levels.

Ravi Parameswaran, Intertek’s Middle East Laboratory Manager comments, “We made a strategic decision to seek DAC accreditation for a wide range of our laboratory activities in order to ensure we continue to provide the highest level of assurance to our clients.”

The scope of the DAC accreditation includes 23 food-related, and 29 water-related, microbiological and chemical parameters.
