Intertek Extends Support to Mozambique’s Pre-Shipment Inspection Programme for further 2 years

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to a wide range of industries worldwide, today announced that it has signed a further two year contract with the Government of Mozambique to be the sole provider of its Pre-Shipment Inspection Programme (PSI) for exports to the country.
The PSI programme ensures that the correct import duties are paid as per the Government's requirements, assists with the identification of illicit cargoes and helps protect Mozambique’s citizens from sub standard imported goods.
In addition to the PSI programme, Intertek also provides customs support, valuation of cargo and consultancy services to Mozambique’s Custom Authority. It has played a major role in the creation and building up of a Training Institute for the Mozambican Revenue Authority and has run many specialist training courses.
Intertek helps exporters around the world ensure their goods meet Mozambique’s requirements prior to shipment and issues the necessary importer certificate from its global locations.

Intertek has provided PSI services to Mozambique since 1996. The re-appointment will see it continue to be the sole provider of these services for a further 2 years.
