LED Lighting Facts® represents a labeling standard supported by the Department of Energy (DOE) that provides information about your product’s brightness, energy cost, life expectancy, light appearance, wattage, and mercury content. It was designed to provide a uniform and user-friendly way for consumers to review product specifications and make comparisons between products, similar to the “Nutrition Facts” label on modern food packaging. The labeling standard is currently mandatory on all packaging for screw-based replacement lamps, including incandescent, halogen, CFL, and LED models.
