This 5-day course is designed for personnel working on Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs) who require marine stability training. The course will satisfy the stability training requirements of 46CFR 11.470(b)(2)(i) for national office certification as OIM Unrestricted; 11.470(d)(2)(i) as OIM Surface Units on Location; 11.472 (a)(2)(i) as Barge supervisor; and 11.474(a)(2)(1) as Ballast Control Operator.
The course is also a pre-requisite for obtaining an endorsement as Offshore Installation Manager, Barge supervisor or Ballast Control Operator.
This 5-day course is designed for personnel working on MODUs that require an Offshore Installation Manager Endorsement (OIM), a Barge supervisor Endorsement or the Ballast Control Operator Endorsement (BCO).
This course is offered in lieu of flag state examination and has been approved by the Vanuatu, Panama and Marshall Island Maritime Authorities. The course meets the training requirements of IMO Resolution A.1079(28) Recommendations for the Training and Certification of Personnel on Mobile Offshore Units (MOUs).
