Winnie Ng Ph.D., Senior Scientific & Regulatory Consultant, Food & Nutrition Group
As a Manager of Regulatory Affairs for Feed & Toxicology within the Food & Nutrition Group of Intertek Scientific & Regulatory Consultancy, Dr. Winnie Ng’s area of specialty primarily focuses on the regulatory authorisation of animal feed ingredients in the European Union, United States, and Canada. As such, she is responsible for critical review, evaluation, and interpretation of scientific literature on the safety and suitability of feed ingredients as relates to the target animal species and consumer exposure. Dr. Ng has extensive experience in preparing both food and feed submissions and notifications for review by global regulatory agencies and organizations including the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Canada, and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Dr. Ng is also involved in discussions with regulatory bodies on a regular basis and is active in feed industry associations. With Dr. Ng’s unique knowledge of both human food and animal feed regulations, she is able to assist in opportunities to access markets in both human and animal foods on a global scale.
Dr. Ng received her Hon. B.Sc.in Biomedical Toxicology from the University of Guelph, and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toronto. Dr. Ng is a member of the Society of Toxicology and the American Feed Industry Association.
