Julie James, M.Sc., Manager, Toxicology & Regulatory, Food & Nutrition Group
Ms. James, a toxicologist in the Food and Nutrition group, has been with Intertek since 2007. Ms. James has considerable experience with GRAS (generally recognized as safe) ingredients dossiers in the United States, novel food ingredient applications in the European Union, and NHP (natural health product) license applications in Canada. She is also responsible for conducting complex literature searches and identifying relevant scientific literature on topics related to a variety of projects. Additionally, Ms. James has been involved in the preparation of several toxicology profiles, feasibility assessments and regulatory strategy/assessments.
Ms. James received her Honours B.Sc. in Biomedical Toxicology from the University of Guelph and her M.Sc. in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Monitoring from the University of Ulster.
