Pre-Shipment Inspection for Exports to Bangladesh

Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is mandatory for all exports to Bangladesh, except those identified as exempt, prohibited or restricted. Intertek is able to issue the Clean Report of Findings (CRF) for exports to Bangladesh.

Intertek is appointed by the Government of Bangladesh to participate in the programme and to provide pre-shipment inspection services to importers for exports supplied from a defined list of countries, this list can also be found in the Exporter Guidelines.

How Our Programme Works:  Importers are required to complete a pre-shipment inspection order form (IOF) or Inspection Information for (IIF) for all imports subject to inspection.  Upon receipt of the IOF from the Importer, Intertek will contact the Exporter and arrange inspection in the country of supply through our global network of offices. Upon satisfactory findings, Intertek will issue a Clean Report of Findings (CRF) to the related Customs Authority and certify the Exporter's Final Invoice and packing list.

Goods that are shipped without a Clean Report of Findings (CRF) will be held by The Bangladesh Customs Authority and they will impose a penalty on the Importer for the release of the goods.
