Course overview
While there is a desire and intention to move towards more alignment in global toy standards, there are still significant differences between standards across the world. This can create problems for manufacturers, particularly if they are experienced in only supplying to one market.

This seminar aims to clarify the legal requirements in 3 main non-EU markets; the US, Canada and Australia/New Zealand. It will discuss the various standards in each of these markets and whether they are mandatory or voluntary, particularly in the case of Australia/New Zealand where this can be quite complex. Differences between the standards will be illustrated which will help manufacturers design their toys in a way which will enable them to comply with requirements in these 3 regions.

Finally, the relevant standards and requirements for other countries will be briefly mentioned.
