Overseas Legislation Seminar

Dates:
16 May 2012 - Leicester

Course Leader:
Mike Redshaw

Duration:
Half Day

Overview
Do you sell textile goods in the UK? Are you a supplier to a UK textile products retailer? If so, by now you will have a pretty good grasp of the legislation that applies, whether it’s a national UK law, or a requirement of the European Union.

But the expansion of the global marketplace is seeing many UK retailers looking to open stores in other European countries and all points east and west. So just when you thought you could relax because all your legislative requirements were covered……think again. What do you know about flammability requirements in France or Canada? Can you have formaldehyde on a
product in the Netherlands? Did you know that care labelling is mandatory for the USA? Ever heard of the mandatory China GB requirements?

This seminar will give you a flavour of what legislation exists in other countries.

  • We will look in detail at other EU member states such as France, Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries.
  • We will also introduce you to legislation in many other countries, including USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, China and Japan.
