Overview
This seminar is designed to help understand legislation surrounding food contact testing for specific groups of products as food contact testing is a very broad subject. Tests requirements depend on the type of material used, the intended use and in which market the item will be sold. The European regulation 1935/2004 on “Materials and Articles intended to come into Contact with Food” (MACF) will be covered and requirements relating to ceramics and glassware, plastics and other materials will be discussed.
