Exporting to Saudi Arabia? All shipments of new vehicles require a Certificate of Conformity.
Saudi Customs have recently confirmed that they will be reinforcing the requirements for the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) as per the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) decree 6386 for clearing shipments of new vehicles.

Exporters who have been previously issuing self Certificates of Conformity to clear their shipments will no longer be able to do so. Instead it will be mandatory for exporters to obtain CoCs from Certification and Inspection bodies such as Intertek.
All new vehicles arriving in the Kingdom without a Certificate of Conformity issued by an inspection body could be subject to significant delays in the clearance of goods from Customs or possible penalties.
Intertek has been involved in the certification of new vehicles for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) since 1996 and as of today we have certified more than 3,200,000 vehicles exported from various parts of the world.
Intertek CoCs are recognized and trusted by Saudi Customs for clearance of new vehicle shipments.
Intertek can help you understand the latest market access regulations in Saudi Arabia having managed the programme for more than 15 years and have issued more than 1.5 million certificates and test reports to companies exporting worldwide.
