The event was attended by more than 20 LG managers from both the US and Korea, respectively representing all LG Electronic business lines: Home Appliance, Mobile Device, Air Conditioning, Product Testing Center, Vehicle Components, Energy Storage and Home Electronics.
The meeting kicked off with an Intertek Global introduction, followed by a discussion of 2015 business results and possible 2016 developments, led by Mark Keller, Vice President, Global Key Accounts, and Luichel Lee, Global Key Account Manager. Following a presentation by LG on its 2016 business outlook, Carl Bloomfield, Global Director, Electrical and Wireless and Jeff Schutt, Vice President of Global Engineering, presented on several topics including energy and safety regulations and the product surveillance program, which had been requested by LG.
The second day of the meeting featured sessions on: IoT verification; risk assessment guidelines for CE LVD and functional safety; an introduction to ETL certification for automotive lamps and the market surveillance process for automotive components; and information on Intertek’s lab correlation program. LG indicated they were very satisfied with the programs Intertek provided during the meeting, saying it was “very helpful” to know more about Intertek’s expertise and how they can work with the company moving forward.
