Intertek Exhibits at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair 2010
The well-known annual Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair was held in conjunction with the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair and the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair on 11-13 January 2010, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Being the largest toy industry event in Asia and the second largest in the world, the three fairs organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), offered vibrant sourcing potential and featured over 2,400 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions. The fairs attracted more than 33,000 buyers from 125 countries and regions.
This year, all the testing and certification companies had stands in the same area. Although there was a broad array of exhibitors, Intertek was able to successfully draw significant attention and gain maximum exposure. Free seminars peaked the visitor’s attention, both in-booth and joint seminars with HKTDC, and product demonstrations of scheduled toy testing procedures.
During the joint seminar with HKTDC, Mr. John Ng and Ms. Vienna Chow of Intertek shared their knowledge on safety requirements for infant and children products as well as safety aspects of textile bedding products for newborns and young children. In addition, Intertek experts demonstrated and shared their vast knowledge on topics ranging from the Toy Safety Certification Program (TSCP), REACH regulation, safety requirements of toys, children's and infant's products, to risk management and brand development.
All in all, the fairs resulted with tremendous interest generating numerous leads for future business.
