Intertek Hong Kong recently celebrated the opening of its High-Performance Textile Testing Center. The new facility is one of the best-equipped testing centers in the region, providing a comprehensive range of advanced technology performance testing for global brands, retailers and manufacturers.
Technological advances and the ever-evolving needs of the global market are having a major impact on the textile industry. Active wear and eco-textiles are hot topics in this sector, therefore an increasing number of brands are developing eco-friendly active textiles with a wide range of functions. Intertek’s new Textile Green Active Program provides testing to ensure compliance with functional quality standards and global environmental regulations.
Recently, Intertek Hong Kong was approved by the Association of Short-Circuit Authorities (ASTA) to provide testing and certification services for electrical vehicle (EV) charging plugs and sockets under the British standard BS 1363. BS 1363 is a regulatory standard for plugs and sockets, which has expanded its requirements to include electric vehicle charging products.
From April 27-30, Intertek will be exhibiting at The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Gifts & Premium Fair 2017. Organized by the HKTDC and co-organized by The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association (HKEA), the fair will welcome more than 4,300 worldwide exhibitors, forming the world’s leading marketplace of its kind. Intertek Bangladesh attended BGMEA SEIP Job Fair 2017
Intertek Bangladesh recently took part in the BGMEA SEIP Job Fair 2017, held at International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka. This was a bridging initiative between prospective employers, and the trainees from the Skill for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA). The goal of the fair was to meet the industry’s growing needs for new talent and to help young talent get exposed to potential future career opportunities. All the jobseekers at the fair were participants of SEIP who have received training on different aspects of the ready-made garment (RMG) industry.
Intertek Bangladesh has participated in the fair as one of the key training partners of the SEIP project, where it has interacted with potential talents and collected CVs against ongoing and future job vacancies.
