ELISA assays are sensitive, precise and quantitative. ELISA testing is used to measure antigens and antibodies, or generally, any macromolecules which binds other molecules or cells. Detection is amplified many-fold using an ELISA enzyme-linked detection system, because the substrate is continuously turned over and the product is measured.
