Organic Certification
Organic farming excludes the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, plant growth regulators, and livestock feed additives.
Organic farming encourages sustainability and enhances the health of ecosystems and organisms. National Standard for Organic Production (NSOP), COUNCIL REGULATION (EC) No 834/2007, National Organic Program (NOP) and International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) are the main guidelines for organic production and its verification.
In order to be certified in organic production practices, one must establish an organic system plan that explains activities from the farm to the finished product and have that plan verified by a third party testing facility.
