Intended For

Experienced management systems auditors seeking additional skills in auditing OH&S management systems.
AimTo equip existing auditors of other management systems with the knowledge and skills required to perform audits of OH&S management systems using the principles of ISO 19011.
Objective

At the end of the course the participants will be able to:

  • describe the purpose of an OH&S management system.
  • explain the scope of OH&S management system standards and, where applicable, other criteria.
  • describe the principles, processes and techniques used for the assessment of risk and the significance of these in OH&S management sytems.
  • interpret the requirements of OH&S management systems standards in the context of an audit.
  • effectively plan, conduct and report an audit of an organisation's management and operation in accordance with the requirements of relevant OH&S audit criteria.
  • undertake audit follow-up activities including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective and preventive action.
  • have undergone training recognised by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA)for persons wishing to become OH&SMS auditors.
