Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Lead Auditor Training

Intertek's IRCA Accredited OHSAS 18001:2007 Lead Auditor Course will provide training for potential Occupational Health and Safety Management System Lead Auditors to achieve recognized OH&SMS lead auditor status that is recognized and approved by IRCA. This course will enable participants to gain a basic knowledge of the requirements for OHSAS 18001:2007 and health and safety audits to effectively participate in the implementation and auditing of an Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

Through lectures, discussions, workshops and role plays, you'll be able to:

  • Assemble a team for implementing the occupational, health and safety system.
  • Examine the organization's existing system and establish base-line information.
  • Develop an occupational health & safety policy.
  • Define responsibilities.
  • Produce a register of regulations.
  • Identify occupational health & safety risks.
  • Produce a register of significant occupational health & safety risks.
  • Define objectives and targets.
  • Produce management programs.
  • Establish occupational health & safety management systems documentation.
  • Establish key health & safety parameters requiring monitoring & measurement.
  • Be able to actively participate in occupational health & safety auditing.
  • Have undergone training recognized by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) for persons wishing to become OH&SMS lead auditors or auditors.
