Informational Bulletin – Key Changes to UL 1703 & Frequently Asked Questions

This informational bulletin provides an outline of the updates to UL 1703. As of January of this year, compliance to these updates is required for flat-plate PV modules and panels for the entirety of the United States, as well as some other countries. While the California Building Code has required compliance to the updated version of UL 1703 since January 1st, 2015, there are still many questions surrounding the requirements and what these changes mean to manufacturers.
