Field Labeling of Fire Doors
If your already-installed fire doors and openings are missing a proper certification mark, Intertek’s field labeling service helps you avoid removal and replacement of unlabeled fire doors, frames and windows.
We will conduct a comprehensive review of all components in question and provide you with a written deficiencies report. We will work with you on modifications and corrections, provide re-inspection services and, when appropriate, apply the Warnock Hersey fire-rating label.
The Warnock Hersey Mark indicate compliance to appropriate national and local codes, standards and requirements. The Warnock Hersey fire door certification label is the most widely recognized in the industry, appearing on 70% of all fire doors found within North America.
Certified Fire Door Inspector Program
Intertek will certify inspectors trained by the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI). Potential inspectors will learn how to properly perform inspections of both fire-rated and egress door assemblies to the 2007 edition of NFPA 80, and/or the 2009 edition of NFPA 101.
