Fire Door Testing

Whether you need your fire doors tested, evaluated or certified to nationally or internationally recognized standards, local building codes, or to demonstrate conformance with neutral and positive pressure test methods, Intertek can assist you quickly and efficiently.

In each of our fire door testing labs, we offer three furnace options: research scale, mid scale, and full scale furnaces, allowing us to test to virtually any size door and frame. Our research scale furnaces allow us to test doors from 36-48 inches wide x 42 inches tall. Our mid scale furnaces allow us to test swinging doors measuring up to 7 or 8 feet in height, while our full scale furnaces allow us to test larger doors or door pairs up to 8-10 feet in width and 10 or more feet in height.
