Reductions of SORE exhaust emissions require extensive engine research, development, testing, durability, and certification services to meet both government and consumer needs. The SORE industry typically includes marine sterndrive and ski/inboard (SD/I), outboard, personal water craft, forklifts, all-terrain vehicles, and other nonroad engine applications powered by gasoline, diesel, liquified petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas, or other alternative fuels. Two or four stroke, water or air cooled, and vertical or horizontal shaft engines used in numerous applications are tested. Other equipment can also be tested.
