Tesco Hardlines Manufacturing Standard (THMS) Training

This THMS Training will offer you the chance to explore and apply the Tesco’s standard which manufactures must comply with order to begin and continue supplying Tesco.  

The course, developed by Tesco, focuses on standards that can be applied to manage risks and improve quality.  With practical knowledge and interactive engagement in mind, the course include the following learning topics:

  • Introduction to the Tesco Hardlines Manufacturing Standard
  • Standard Application tools – Risk Assessment
  • Introduction of Product Control through Product Traceability

The training will include:

  • Activities to embed the eLearning and support skills transfer from the classroom to the workplace
  • Engaging and collaborative workshops for skills development, practice and discussion

Who the course is intended for: this training is ideal for three groups of audience, including Tesco colleagues, second party Tesco partners (auditors, professional services), and Tesco Suppliers, who wish to understand and comply to the Tesco standards

This Standard applies to suppliers of General Merchandise products including but not limited to:

  • Toys & Nursery
  • Electrical
  • Homeware
  • Stationary
  • Non Textile Clothing products e.g Sunglasses & Costume Jewellery

Pre-requisite: Tesco eLearning training.  Once the trainee is registered to this course, we will set you up with the access to this mandatory eLearning as a pre-request to this course

Course Duration: 1.5 day (one day of training plus ½ day of case study presentation and exam)

Deliverables: Participants who attend and successfully pass the course will receive a certificate
