Impact Statement: A review of all Listing Reports is necessary to determine which products comply with new/revised requirements and which products will require re-evaluation. NOTE: Effective immediately, this revised standard will be exclusively used for evaluation of new products unless the Applicant requests in writing that current requirements be used along with their understanding that their listings will be withdrawn on Effective Date noted above, unless the product is found to comply with new/revised requirements.
Overview of Changes: Clauses 4.10.8, 4.33.1, 5.23, 5.23.2, 5.24.4, 5.24.5, 5.24.6, 5.25.5, and 5.28.2 have been revised. Specific details of new/revised requirements are found in table below.
Schedule: So that shipping of products with Listing Marks will not be interrupted, an approximate schedule has been established to ensure Listing Reports are found compliant by Effective Date:
Fees: An initial review of Listing Report (s) will be covered by a direct billing project and will be invoiced at not more than $1000 per report.
Client Action Required:
Information – To assist our Engineer with review of your Listing Reports, please submit technical information in response to the new/revised paragraphs noted in the attached or explain why these new/revised requirements do not apply to your product (s).
Current Listings Not Active? – Please immediately identify any current Listing Reports or products that are no longer active and should be removed from our records. We will do this at no charge as long as Intertek is notified in writing prior to the review of your reports.

|4.10.8||Editorially revise clause 4.10.8 by deleting second paragraph of that clause as this information is contained in preceding clause 4.10.7.|
|4.33.1||Require that installation instructions, for a boiler without a factory installed low water cutoff, be provided with instructions for installation and wiring of a low water cutoff device. Reference clause 4.33.1 b v.|
|5.23||Revise reduced input, blocked vent testing for boilers equipped with forced or induced draft burners and without draft hoods or regulators in clause 5.23 to apply only to firing rates that are below 20% of maximum firing rate of appliance.|
|5.23.2||Revise test method in clause 5.23.2 to require that blockage applied, during blocked vent test, reflects minimum set point including worst case tolerances at which the control will allow the main burner to operate.|
|2.24.4 & 5.24.5||Revise flue damper testing in clauses 5.24.4 and 5.24.5 to be more consistent with actual flue gas temperatures produced by the appliance and to provide an alternative method of testing the flue damper.|
|5.2.6||Revise reduced input, blocked vent/air inlet testing for direct vent boilers in clause 5.25.5 to apply only to firing rates that are below 20% of maximum firing rate of the appliance.|
