MALDI mass spectrometry testing and analysis.

MALDI mass spectrometry provides analysis of non-volatile, soluble, and insoluble analytes. MALDI (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization) is useful for samples such as biomolecules (proteins, sugars, peptides) and large organic molecules (polymers, dendrimers). MALDI mass spectrometry applications include molecular weight determination, molecular weight distribution, proteomics, drug discovery and more. Samples analyzed include polymers, lipids, oligosaccharides, phosphopeptides, bacteria, and small molecules.

MALDI-TOF (Time of Flight mass spectrometry) is also available from Intertek laboratories such as Intertek ASA. MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry can provide high mass range (up to 100,000 D), high mass resolution and high mass accuracy.
