Andrew Swift is Executive Vice President of Intertek's Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals (formerly Analytical Services) division, a role he assumed in January 2008. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Global Outsourcing within Intertek's Oil, Chemical & Agri Division. Dr. Swift joined Intertek in 2001 as Business Development Manager of the Group's laboratory facilities at Sunbury (UK). He became Business Development Manager of outsourcing in Europe, Africa and the Middle East in 2002, and then Director of Global Outsourcing in 2003. Dr. Swift began his career by launching CSMA Ltd (a high technology analytical consulting company), of which he became Managing Director in 1993. Both of Andrew's degrees are from UMIST, and he is a Chartered Chemist of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
