Bob Johnson - Additives

Bob has been in his current role as Global VP of Additives Services since January 2011 and responsible for this start-up business within the Cargo Inspection & Testing Division as well as managing the strategic alliance with Baker Hughes. In his previous position Bob served as the VP for the Eastern Region – USA for the period of 2009 through 2010. Bob began his career in the United States Army as a Petroleum Laboratory Technician in 1975 and continued in the private sector of the Inspection & Testing Industry in 1978 with E.W. Saybolt & Co. He then joined Intertek (heritage Caleb Brett) in 1989. During his 35 plus years in the business he has held positions as field inspector, laboratory technician, sales representative and various roles in local, area and regional operations management prior to be promoted to Vice President in 2001. Bob has attended numerous management training courses with Intertek and holds graduate certificates in Global Leadership and Executive Development from Cornell, UCLA and the Michigan Business School.
Neil Chapman - Analytical Assessment

Neil has been in his current, joint role of business development for Commodities and Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals divisions since 2006. In this joint role, Neil is responsible for ensuring superior customer support across the business groups in addition to growing the materials testing business in the Americas. He joined Intertek as a laboratory manager in St. Eustatius, Netherland Antilles and in 2001 was promoted to Director General of Commodities, in Mexico before moving to the US to form the Laboratory Business Development Team. Prior to joining Intertek, Neil held management positions within SGS based in the UK. Neil attended Chelmsford College in the UK where he graduated in chemistry.
Tim Hubbard - Automotive

Tim Hubbard leads Intertek's global Automotive services and brings more than 25 years of insight and experience to clients in the industry. Tim's background includes leading the delivery of product and regulatory compliance testing and engineering services on a world-wide basis as well as third-party automotive component and systems design and production validation, test engineering, and operational and business development management. Tim and his team provide accredited certification services, testing and inspection to a wide range of automotive products, components and car-technologies to assist global and local clients with their safety, quality and performance needs.
Calin Moldovean - Business Assurance (Systems Certification)

Calin co-leads Intertek's global Business Assurance (Systems Certification) services and also leads the regional directors for the EMEA , India and Americas operations of Intertek's auditing and management systems certification group. Prior to this, Calin was Vice President of Auditing and Medical Services for the NAFTA region TÜV SÜD having joined the organisation in 1992 and holding a range of positions including Vehicle Safety Manager, Automotive Program Manager and Director of Operations. He has been a certified RABQSA lead auditor since 1996, auditing hundreds of organisations throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Calin holds an M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from Transylvania University (Brasov, Romania) and an Executive MBA from Suffolk University (Boston, USA).
William Quilindo - Business Enabling & Knowledge Management

William Quilindo leads Intertek's global operations for the Business Enabling & Knowledge Management stream with responsibility to oversee strategic development of key business projects. In addition, William is Regional Director of Information Technology in Asia, helping enhance operational and support function efficiencies through implementing IT applications that meet business needs, protect information integrity and deliver cost savings. William has more than 25 years experience in all aspects of performance and strategic management relating to product quality, testing, inspection and systems certification services. He joined Intertek in 1984 as Finance & Administration Manager for the Consumer Goods division in Hong Kong and held a number of key management positions before leaving in 2003 to become a Managing Director of a leading, global systems certification body. William returned to Intertek in 2005 as General Manager, South China.
Jerry Difede - Cargo Inspection

Jerry has been in his current role as the Global Business Line Leader for the Cargo Related Inspection and Testing business since March 2011. In this role, Jerry is responsible for growing the Cargo business globally through the development and implementation of the business line strategy. He joined Intertek as a Field Inspector and over the next 29 years, progressed through a number of roles in operational management throughout the Global Commodities division. Jerry holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey, along with an MBA from The University of the Virgin Islands. He also earned post graduate certificates in Global Leadership and Executive Development from Cornell, UCLA, and the Michigan Business School. Jerry studied the petroleum sector at the Princeton Energy Group specializing in the areas of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Trading, Refining and Tanker Operations.
Bernard Leroy - Consumer Healthcare and Beauty Products

Bernard Leroy became Vice President in January 2000 with responsibility for Consumer Goods in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joined us in 1992 as General Manager of Intertek Consumer Goods France. Prior to joining us, Mr. Leroy worked as head of the Physica chemical laboratory then, Quality Assurance manager at Upjohn CO. and founded Sigma Controle, a French leader in Inspection and Technical services to retailers. We acquired Sigma Controle in 1992. Mr. Leroy was educated at the University of Paris, where he obtained a Master of Sciences in Biochemistry and a degree in Applied Statistics.
Phil Norman - Chemicals & Materials

Phil joined Intertek in 2005 as Director of Outsourcing for Europe, Africa & Middle East. He started his career within ICI and over 15 years worked across a range of management roles within R&D, manufacturing and business re-engineering fields for a number of ICI businesses. Prior to joining Intertek he spent 5 years as the Science Manager for Ineos Chlor. In his current role he has operational responsibility in addition to supporting outsourcing and acquisition projects. Phil holds an Honours Degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry.
Richard Adams - Engineering & Certification

Rich Adams was appointed Vice President of Intertek's global Engineering & Certification services in 2008 where he oversees the Engineering, Certification, Quality and Accreditations groups for Intertek's Commercial and Electrical division. He joined us in 1993 as a Project Engineer and has held a number of various roles in operations management within the Americas region. Prior to this, Rich was Vice President of Operations for the Americas, managing the Western US, Canada and Mexico. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology – Electronics from California State University, Long Beach and an MBA from the University of Redlands. He also earned postgraduate certificates in Leadership from UCLA and Japanese Business Strategies from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena.
Chetan Parmer - Food & Agri

Since August 2011 Chetan leads the Global Food & Agri Services business, which includes testing, auditing and certification services in the food sector as well as trade-related Agri inspection services. Chetan joined Intertek in 2006, and his previous roles within Intertek include working as a Commercial Manager in the Europe, Middle East, Africa region for the Commodities division, and prior to this working on mergers and acquisitions in Savile Row as a Corporate Development Executive. Chetan holds a doctorate in Chemistry from Imperial College, London which was sponsored by Kodak, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) with Deloitte in 2004.
Andre Catto - Agriculture

Andre Catto supports Chetan Parmer and manages Intertek's global Agricultural services. Andre and his team's agricultural commodity inspection and testing services support clients who trade, ship and store high-value agri cargos across the world. Andre brings to clients more than 25 years experience in the industry , with local as well as international insight into agricultural product-supply having worked throughout the Americas, Asia-Pacific and EMEA-regions.
Rob Burton - Hardlines

Rob Burton heads up Intertek's Hardlines business stream, which supports Intertek's consumer goods client-companies and their hard-line product ranges with a variety of complementary quality and safety solutions. With more than 18 years of experience, including working in-house in major retail companies and leading their quality assurance, sourcing and CSR programmes, Rob brings an extensive knowledge of quality assurance and manufacturing practises in Asia to Intertek clients.
Ruud Overbeek - Health, Safety & Environment

Dr. Ruud Overbeek manages Intertek's Health & Environmental (H&E) business which includes Restricted Substances, REACH, and climate change-related services. Ruud and his global team deliver solution-led services to help companies fulfil the requirements of ever-changing global legislation. Ruud has worked with some of the world's largest companies in deploying global H&E compliance solutions optimised to their businesses, and led the use of new technology within companies at times as part of this. He is a regular author in respected industry and environmental publications, holds advisory roles on environmental business impact within the US Health & Beauty industry's governing association and a doctorate in Chemistry.
Sun Aimin - Industry Service & Business Assurance (Systems Certification) APAC

Sun Aimin currently co-leads Intertek's global Business Assurance ( Systems Certification ) services and directly heads the APAC region of that business line. In addition,he has the regional responsibility for Industry services in APAC. Prior to joining Intertek, Sun worked for Moody International Group as an international board director responsible for overall business development in the APAC region in addition to managing the global management systems certification. Sun began his career working for the Chinese government authority within the import & export commodity inspection sector before joining Moody International in 1992.
Sun obtained a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Jiaotong University, China in 1987 and a Bachelors in the same university in 1984.
Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler - Industrial Services

Jan-Jörg is responsible for Global Industry Services within the Industry & Assurance division. In his current role, Jan-Jörg is responsible for establishing Intertek as a global, full service provider of quality services to the Industrial services sector. Prior to joining Intertek, Jan-Jörg worked for TÜV SÜD Industrieservice GmbH, as a member of the Board, with responsibility for the plant engineering and foreign business sectors. He started his career in Germany as a Project Engineer for Lurgi, an EPC Contractor in 1989 before being assigned to the UK as Project Manager becoming Operations Director and member of the Board of Lurgi UK Ltd in 2000. Jan-Jörg attended the Technical University of Aachen, Germany and graduated as a metallurgical Engineer. He also holds a MBA from the University of Mainz, Germany.
Darrell Lehman - Information & Communication Technologies

Darrell Lehman leads Intertek's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) business group. The ICT Group serves testing, inspection and certification needs of clients from hardware, content and software, consumer electronics, telecoms, and networks. Prior to becoming Vice President of ICT Darrell led mergers and acquisitions for the C&E division, introduced global business development, and co-lead the division's Key Industry initiative. Darrell joined the company in 1992 as General Manager and has held Intertek positions in laboratory management, sales and marketing, and business development. Darrell holds degrees in Architectural Technology from MATC in Madison, WI, and Management and Information Technology from Daniel Webster in Nashua, NH.
David Horlock - Inspection & Audit

David Horlock leads Intertek's global Consumer Goods Inspection & Audit business stream. He has more than 25 years experience in helping some of the world's leading companies and their parties across the supply chain incorporate conformity assessment in areas of quality, health, safety, environmental and social responsibility into their local and international production and trading of goods. David has managed services on an international and regional basis and brings to clients close working knowledge of Asian markets, including China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, and of Australia.
Pam Streed - Medical

Pamela and her team of experts cover the gamut of quality, safety, testing, inspection and certification services needed by the medical industry. Since 1994, she has worked in Sales and Business Development at Intertek, both regionally and globally. Her experience includes working in both our Commercial and Electrical Testing and Systems Certification groups. She has also coordinated efforts with other divisions to communicate our complete Intertek solution to the medical industry. Pamela is now based in Chicago, IL after recently returning from a 2 year assignment in Germany, overseeing European business development. In addition to her Medical Leadership role, she is our Vice President of Global Business Lines for the Commercial and Electrical Division. Before joining Intertek, Pamela worked in Sales and Marketing at a company that manufactured medical filtration products. She has a B.A. degree from Carleton College in Northfield, MN.
John Fowler - Minerals

John Fowler is Vice President for Minerals and oversees the general management and global growth of this business stream. He joined us in 1985 as a chemist in the Auckland laboratory before transferring to Australia where John held a number of operational management roles within the company. John relocated to West Africa as Managing Director in 1991 and in 1995 was appointed Minerals Group QA/QC Director based in Vancouver. In 1997 John was appointed Vice President for Minerals in Asia managing the minerals businesses in the region from Jakarta, Indonesia relocating again to Perth in 2008. John qualified as a chemist at Auckland Technical Institute in New Zealand. Prior to joining Intertek John worked as a consulting chemist for TJ Sprott & Associates, in the fields of environmental, pharmaceutical, minerals and forensic chemistry.
Tim Roadnight - Oil Condition Monitoring

Tim has been in his current role, as global business leader for Oil Condition Monitoring, a since October 2010 and is responsible for developing and maintaining Intertek's global program to assist regional offices in the growth, operations and management of the lubricants testing business stream. He joined Intertek in January 2008 working in the 'Lubricant Quality Scan' section of the Chemical and Pharmaceuticals division. Prior to this, Tim worked at the IMarEST representing the members and institution at IMO, CIMAC, APMG and APEG meetings, as well as offering engineering and technical advice. Tim attended Greenwich Maritime University in the UK, where he graduated in Marine Engineering.
Andrew Swift - Pharmaceuticals

Andrew Swift is Executive Vice President of Intertek's Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals division, which role he assumed in January 2008. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Global Outsourcing within Intertek's Commodities Division. Dr Swift joined Intertek in 2001 as Business Development Manager of the Group's laboratory facilities at Sunbury (UK). He became Business Development Manager of outsourcing in Europe, Africa and the Middle East in 2002 and then Director of Global Outsourcing in 2003. Dr Swift began his career by launching CSMA Ltd (a high technology analytical consulting company) of which he became Managing Director in 1993. Both of Andrew's degrees are from UMIST and he is a Chartered Chemist of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Graham Bourne - Pre-shipment Inspection and Scanning Contracts

Graham Bourne is Director of Operations for Intertek Government Services, and oversees Intertek's Pre-shipment Inspection and Scanning services for government clients. With more than 20 years experience in Government Service operations, Graham has an international trade and project engineering background and has led operations on major foreign exchange and customs reform programmes for global clients.
Sunny Rai - Renewable Energy

Sunny Rai leads Intertek's Renewable Energy services. Having joined Intertek as an Engineer in 1986, Sunny has helped solar, semiconductor and FPD equipment manufacturers establish product safety and regulatory compliance programs. As Regional Vice President, Sunny is responsible for Intertek's Photovoltaic, Wind, Smart Grid and Semiconductor businesses. He has been instrumental in establishing Intertek as a key player in the Photovoltaic industry with laboratories in Lake Forest and San Francisco, California and Shanghai, China. Mr. Rai has been recognized as an expert in the field of Solar Module Testing & Certification worldwide with several published articles and presentations. Mr. Rai holds a B.Sc. degree from University of Delhi, India and a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, from San Francisco, California.
Gene Rider - Risk Management

Gene Rider was appointed President of Consumer Goods North America in July 2005. He joined Intertek in 1988 as President of RAM Consulting. Prior to this, Mr Rider worked with The United States Testing Company, New Jersey, joining as an environmental scientist before becoming Vice President. In January 2005 he was appointed to the Board of Directors for The Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children (SENTAC). He also has affiliations with The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), The Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) and The International Consumer Products and Health and Safety Organisation (ICPHSO). Mr Rider was educated at Utah State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Toxicology.
David Gregory - Standards & Contracts

David Gregory leads Intertek's Standards & Contracts for the Group's government clients and commercial clients working in and with our government programmes. David has more than 25 years experience in managing and delivering a portfolio of trade quality and safety programmes to government clients around the world. Having successfully managed a number of the Group's significant long-term government projects, David continues to work with new and existing client countries and their regulatory administrators to implement new solutions to help them achieve their present and future goals in import and export quality assurance.
Andre Raghu - Sustainability Services

André Raghu is President of Intertek's global Sustainability Services. He is respected globally for his work in moving businesses toward a seamless integration of CSR and Sustainability with their brand and operations. Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company, Polo Ralph Lauren, IBM, The National Coffee Association, Wal-Mart, McDonalds and The Ford Motor Company have implemented solutions created by Andre and the Intertek Sustainability team. His vision of sustainability is balanced and powerful and cognizant of companies' competing priorities while assuring that real progress and concrete business results are achieved.
Calvin Yam - Textiles

Calvin Yam is Vice President of Asia Pacific for Consumer Goods based in Hong Kong. He joined Intertek Hong Kong in 1980 from the textile coloration industry and managed the Textiles Department until 1985. He was then appointed to head the Inspection Department with the aim to grow the business. After a break of two years, Calvin rejoined Intertek Hong Kong as Sales and Marketing Manager in 1990. He relocated to Intertek UK, Leicester in 1992 focusing on business development with the UK, Nordic and Dutch retailers and customers. He relocated back to Hong Kong in 2007. Mr. Yam was educated at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Coloration. He further studied at the University of Bradford, UK and obtained an MSc in Polymer Science. Mr. Yam is a Chartered Colorist.
Karen Ng - Toys

In her current role, Karen directs not only the global operations of Toys but also operations for Food and Hardlines in South China and Hong Kong. She joined Intertek as a Laboratory Manager for these sectors, later progressing to General Manager in 2003. Prior to joining Intertek, Karen worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for a toy company. Karen attended Warwick University where she obtained an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
Raymond Pirie - Upstream Analytical Services

Raymond Pirie is Vice President for Upstream Analytical Services. He joined Intertek in 1978 as a chemist in the Aberdeen laboratory, and held a number of operational management positions with the Company until 1992 when he left to become Managing Director of a Norwegian Drilling and Production Contractor. He returned to Intertek in 1997 where he was responsible for development of Intertek's Upstream laboratories and subsequently was appointed to the position of Director of Outsource Laboratories for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In June 2004, Raymond was appointed as Vice President of the EMEA Region. Raymond qualified as a chemist at Robert Gordon Institute of Technology in Aberdeen. Prior to joining Intertek, he worked at the Rowett Research Institute in the field of Agricultural Research.
