Rui Esteves

Rui has global responsibility for Intertek's AgriWorld business line which provides agricultural commodity assurance, inspection and testing services to support clients who trade, ship and store high value agri cargos across the world. AgriWorld assures the reduction of risk at every stage of our clients' supply chain, maintaining quality, quantity and traceability from farm to fork. Rui joined Intertek in 2010 following the acquisition of Moody International, as Regional Director Industry Services, South America. He then also led Intertek's Brazilian organisation as Country Managing Director. Prior to joining Intertek, Rui held various international executive roles in North, Central and South Americas; North and West Africa; UK and Southern Europe. Samir Ahmed

Samir has global responsibility for the Assuris Global Business Line, a team of 450 scientific and regulatory professionals in 15 countries across North America, Europe and Asia. The Assuris team helps clients in the areas of human and environmental health, toxicology, product safety and quality, sustainability, and scientific & regulatory affairs. The Global Business Line serves a variety of industries, with particular focus on Chemicals & Biocides, Food & Nutrition, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare, Cosmetics, Electricals, Food Contact and packaging, and consumer products. In addition, Samir is also leading Intertek’s CSF business, a team of 200 professionals, providing risk management solutions to travel, tourism and hospitality industry across 50 countries.

Prior to this, Samir was Regional Director of Intertek’s BA, Softlines, Hardlines, Electrical business and Marketing function in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan region. Before joining Intertek, he worked with Bureau Veritas in several management positions. His tenure with PIA encompassed QA and HSE projects. Samir also worked with Reckitt Benckiser in pharmaceutical and consumer goods division in QA role. He studied MBA from Institute of Business Management and MPharm. Colm Deasy

Colm joined Intertek in 2016 and has global responsibility for Intertek’s Building & Construction business which provides designers, constructors, manufacturers, owners, and regulatory authorities the assurance that projects are constructed as designed, using materials that meet all of the necessary requirements.

Prior to assuming his current role, Colm has held a number of senior roles including Group Treasurer and Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific. Colm attained B.Sc (Hons) from University College Dublin in 1992.Email Colm Deasy

Calin Moldovean

Calin has global responsibility for the Intertek Business Assurance and Food Services operations, providing a wide range of assurance, testing, inspection and certification services, focused on helping Intertek customers identify and mitigate the intrinsic risks in their operations, supply chain and business processes. Since joining Intertek in 2008, Calin has held several senior management roles and lead a variety of global laboratory, auditing and training operations. Prior to 2008, Calin was VP of Auditing & Medical Services for the TÜV SÜD North American operations, having joined TÜV in 1992 as a Vehicle Technology Engineer, followed by progressive positions as Vehicle Safety Manager, Automotive Program Manager and Director of Operations. He became a certified lead auditor in 1996, auditing hundreds of organizations throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Ian Galloway

Joined Intertek in 2011. Ian is responsible for the Middle-East, Africa and Global Trade comprising our business lines of Government & Trade Services, Caleb Brett and Agricultural Services. Prior to assuming his current role, Ian held senior finance and business roles within Intertek. Saranpal (“Sunny”) Rai

Sunny Rai has global responsibility for Intertek's Electrical & Network Assurance business line which provides quality solutions to the electrical products industry worldwide; from auditing and inspection, to testing, training, advisory, quality assurance and certification. The Electrical & Network Assurance business line also provides comprehensive assurance solutions for evaluating performance, reliability, compliance and security for mobile devices and networks including the Internet of Things. Sunny joined Intertek in 1986 as a Project Engineer and has held various roles in engineering, sales and operational management for Semiconductor, Renewable Energy and Industrial product businesses for Intertek. Sunny holds a BSc in Physics from University of Delhi, India and a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from San Francisco, California. He is the Co-Chair of International Compliance & Regulatory Committee (ICRC) at SEMI, Task Group leader for IECRE PV scheme and an active member and leader of standards development organizations including UL, IEC, ASSE and SEMI. John Fowler

John leads Intertek's global Minerals and Exploration & Production business lines offering testing, inspection, assurance and certification services to the Resources industry. Joining Intertek in 1985, John has had various roles within the Minerals business line in Indonesia, West Africa, Canada and Australia. John has held responsibility for the Intertek Minerals business for over 20 years driving significant growth globally, and in 2016 assumed additional responsibility for the Exploration & Production business line. John qualified as a chemist at Auckland Technical Institute in New Zealand, initially working in the fields of environmental, pharmaceutical, minerals and forensic chemistry, including technical, management audit and assurance roles. Jérémy Gaspard

Jérémy is Global Business Line Leader for Government and Trade Services, which provides assurance to governments on the quality of their imported shipments through conformity certification, ensuring that country and international standards are met to protect their citizens, environment and economy. GTS also provides governments with Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification services to enable safe and secure cross-border trade, as well as working with exporters, importers and manufacturers. In doing so, GTS delivers market access support to brands, manufacturers, retailers and traders, enabling products and shipments to meet industry, international and local standards and compliance requirements. Jérémy was previously MD of Intertek Sub-Sahara Africa and EMEA Sales Director for Intertek Caleb Brett. Prior to joining Intertek, Jérémy held positions in International Sales and Marketing with companies including Exova and Sandvik in Europe and the USA. Bertrand Mallet

Joined Intertek in 2021. Bertrand has responsibility for Industry Services. Prior to joining Intertek, he was Chief Development Officer at Inchcape plc, in charge of business development and global manufacturer relations, mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy and digital transformation. Prior to this, he was CEO, Toyota Belgium and has also held the positions of Managing Director of the Emerging Markets. Sandeep Das

Sandeep joined Intertek in 2012. He is responsible for our Global Softline & Hardline businesses, for our operations in South Asia, and the Products vertical of our Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan chapters. Prior to assuming his current role, Sandeep held various senior business and management roles within Intertek at both country and regional levels. Martin Staunton

Martin joined Intertek in 2021 and has responsibility for the Transport Technology business line which provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services across automotive, aerospace & defence, marine, rail and space sectors, ensuring products and services meet required safety, environmental and quality standards. Martin worked in the automotive sector for five years prior to joining Intertek working directly with leading global OEMs. Prior to joining Intertek Martin worked at Inchcape, PwC and IBM.
